Market data

Market numbers are filing (F), analyst (A) or press (P) grade with named source and date; a filing is an exchange-published document and outranks the other two; forecasts are not tabulated because houses diverge 3–10×.

Industrial robots (IFR)

One year per column, unchanged IFR definitions. World Robotics 2026 fills only the 2025 cells it supports; the 2024 column stays. US-only figures do not enter the global column.

World Robotics 2026. Published 2026-09-24, retrieved 2026-10-09.
What the two documents state

The executive summary states 2025 global installations, China installations and operational stock; the Japan figure comes from IFR’s release of the same day. Neither document states a global robot density, so that cell stays —. The circulated “621,000 global installations in 2025” appears in neither and stays refused below.

A 2025 cell is filled only where one of these IFR documents states it.

Not carried: 621,000 for 2025 Secondary coverage circulated a global figure of 621,000 installations for 2025 before the report. World Robotics 2026 states 603,307 [A7]; 621,000 appears in neither the executive summary nor IFR’s release, so it stays recorded here and unused. IFR’s earlier US-only figure (38,000 units, +11%) [A6] is restated as 38,428 (+12%) [A7] and remains outside the global column.
Definition

Installations are annual additions. Stock is operational robots at year-end. Density is operational robots per 10,000 manufacturing employees. A later year does not replace an earlier year.

Service robots (IFR World Robotics 2026, sales in 2025)

One edition only: World Robotics 2026, units sold in 2025, counted from a sample of 238 of the 1,001 producers IFR knows.

Professional service robots, 2025 ≈250,000 Units sold, +24%; “almost 250,000”. Excludes medical robots. World Robotics 2026 sample: 238 of 1,001 producers, not projected. [A10] [A13]
Medical robots, 2025 15,300 Units sold, +19%. The total is on IFR’s press-conference slide; the release gives only surgical robots, 8,400 (+57%). World Robotics 2026 sample: 238 of 1,001 producers, not projected. [A13] [A10]
Consumer service robots, 2025 ≈34.2 million Units sold, +37%; “almost 34.2 million”. World Robotics 2026 sample: 238 of 1,001 producers, not projected. [A10] [A13]
Sample

238 suppliers reported, 22 of them with no sales yet, out of 1,001 known producers. IFR: “sample data … not projected to the whole industry … a minimum level of sales”. [A14]

Earlier editions, separate samples. IFR “strongly discourages the creation of time-series data, compiling data from different issues of this publication” [A14]. The two lines below are not a series with the cards above, and no change between editions is computed.

World Robotics 2025, sales in 2024, sample of 294 suppliers: professional >199,000; medical close to 16,700; consumer close to 20.1 million. [A9] [A16]

World Robotics 2024, sales in 2023, sample of 298 companies: professional >205,000; medical more than 6,100; consumer 4.1 million. [A4] [A15]

Why the editions are not a series

The editions disagree about the same year. World Robotics 2026 charts 47 thousand hospitality and 32 thousand professional-cleaning robots for 2024 [A11]; World Robotics 2025 gave more than 42,000 and more than 25,000 for that year [A9]. Medical robots are reported apart from professional service robots since World Robotics 2024.

Humanoid sales, installations and shipments

Two counts exist for 2025. They measure different things and are printed side by side.

Sources: IFR World Robotics 2026 Service Robots, Executive Summary, p. 15 [A11]; IFR release (2026-09-30) [A10]; Counterpoint, “Global Humanoid Robot Installations Reach 16,000 Units in 2025…” (2026-01-14) [A1]. One column per measure; no difference, ratio or average is computed.

Definition IFR counts units that producers reported sold. Counterpoint estimates installations for 2025 and shipments for 2026. The columns and cards are different measures: none is subtracted from, averaged with or replaced by another, and no growth rate is computed between them here.

Who ships — Counterpoint H1 2026 ranks

Counterpoint shipment ranks, not IFR installations or hardware comparisons.

Unit counts and Galbot products

Only AGIBOT’s unit count is published; the other four entries give order, not volume. Galbot’s shipped products here are wheeled G1 / S1, not bipeds or Galbot ET1.

Claim boundary. Shipments (Counterpoint, H1 2026) and installations (Counterpoint 2025; IFR industrial) stay separate words.
Figures and ranks

The 16,000 and >22,000 figures above are not subtracted from these ranks. A rank is not a specification.

Galbot funding and deployment (press)

These cards are press-graded. They are not specification cells and do not enter a hardware table.

Currencies and omissions

RMB and USD cumulative figures come from different articles and are not added together. Founder volume or TAM aspirations in the same interview are omitted.

Definition

Pharmacy/store counts are signed-cooperation figures from an investor-channel interview, not IFR installations. Do not place them on the Galbot G1 spec sheet.

Forecasts

Not tabulated. TAM and shipment forecasts diverge 3–10× across houses (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and others), so no trend line or total is shown. See the market source group.
